Bridal Gown Alterations
Even gowns ordered to measure need to be tailored to fit you beautifully on your wedding day. And you deserve a gown that makes you feel confident in every detail on your dream day!
Whether your gown is new, preloved or vintage, it can be altered in just 2-4 fittings to fit like it was custom-made just for you.
All wedding gowns are different in style, shape, layers and construction, so costs are bespoke. A typical price range for standard bridal gown alterations is $500-$1000. Standard alterations include:
Tailoring the shoulders and/or bodice
Shaping the skirt seams
Adding cups
Hemming the skirt layers
Attaching a belt
Creating a bustle
Elevated alterations include any of the work done for standard alterations on gowns with embellishments, such as:
Work done under or around lace, appliques or bead work
Changes made to the design or silhouette of the gown

THE PROCESS

step one
Send an inquiry as soon as you purchase your dream gown! I'll get in touch with you within 3 business days to let you know if it’s a good fit, with next steps to book your spot.
step two
Receive and pay your booking fee invoice to officially reserve your spot for your first fitting (typically about 3 months before your wedding day).
step three
At your first fitting, we’ll try on the gown and plan all of the alterations to transform it into the perfect fit for your walk down the aisle!
To resize gowns more than 2 sizes different from your size or for gowns requiring major structural changes, we will schedule a consultation to discuss the options and create the perfect plan to transform the gown for a perfect fit and function.
